I have been working in the health and fitness industry now for a combined 20 years. Over that time I have worked with Army recruits, fully trained soldiers to busy Mums and Dads all striving to be healthier role models to their family and peers. During this time I have been active in my own professional self development, having attended numerous specialist training courses. I have expanded my own knowledge and experience through owning and operating a CrossFit gym whilst being employed as a helicopter aircrew officer. This role sparked a keen interest in digital marketing and sales and prompted me to complete the Precision Nutrition coaching certification and the Nuerochange Method neurochange practitioner certification. I consider myself an avid leaner in all modalities of self development and I take a personal interest in reading anything related to human potential, mindset and leadership. I also take a keen interest in learning all aspects of digital sales and marketing.

In a crewed environment, I am responsible for assisting the Aircraft Captain with performance planning prior to the conduct of routine and complex tasks as well as short notice tasks. This involves weight and balance calculations and accurate predictions of aircraft performance in various configurations and operating environments. I am responsible for the operation of aircraft weapons systems, internal and external loading of stores, the operation of role specific equipment such as the rescue hoist and other systems as required dependant on the specific task to be conducted. Other tasks can include the movement of troops in an administrative and tactical move, aeromedical evacuation of troops both on exercises and operations, aid to the civil community and disaster relief operations. Passenger safety is a high priority and this is achieved through detailed safety briefings and demonstrations on the use of emergency equipment. This is also achieved through a hands on approach to the briefings, by having passengers recall key information delivered during the briefs and to efficiently operate seating and restraint harnesses as well as operate primary and emergency exits with ease. As part of this position I am also responsible for maintaining separation with obstacles in confined areas such as in the proximity of trees or buildings, by day and night utilising night vision equipment. As part of the crew I conduct R/T as required and any other tasks that may be required by the Aircraft Captain. Secondary to this role I also conduct regular fitness training sessions to improve and maintain the physical fitness of all personnel at my unit. I am responsible for developing the units fitness level, in preparation for any likely or unlikely operational or training task which may arise throughout the year. Further to this role, I also regularly conduct fitness training in the biannual Basic Fitness Assessment and Physical Employment Standards Assessment.
