  I am responsible for all aspects of production, from initial quoting through to design and manufacture of tooling and components. 1. To ensure that the people and machinery in his charge produce components to meet the customers requirements, in terms of quality and delivery, while working in accordance with BS EN ISO 9002: 1994. 2. To co-ordinate and control the design and construction of tooling required to produce parts effectively and efficiently, with due regard to quantity of parts and repetition of need. 3. To carry out day to day management of operations and to personnel to ensure that staffing levels are appropriate to meet customer delivery dates and schedules, working to production target as instructed by the Director.. 4. To monitor the job content and productivity of all production personnel to achieve maximum efficiency, working to production schedule and adhering to health and safety. 5. To ensure that existing plant, machinery and tooling are satisfactorily maintained and safe for personnel use, and liase with the Director concerning machine repairs and tooling requirements 6. To liase with the office administration to ensure adequate stocks of material and works consumable are readily available. 7. To ensure the maintenance of a safe, clean and tidy work area, including the return of unused materials to their place of origin and the transfer of completed work to other areas for the further processing, despatch, etc. 8. To support the admin and director in a programme of product improvement and new product development. 9. To control and co-ordinate the fabrication of prototype parts to enable both tooling to be designed and new orders to be secured. 10. To liase with customers, as deemed necessary, to solve production problems and clarify customers requirements. Especially in the Directors absence. 11.
