  Currently working on a project to take Northern Offshore drilling jack-up Energy embracer to Qatar waters for a long drilling campaign from shipyard Dubai. Even though its a new build & no holes drilled yet, it still required some corrective maintenance, on all drilling equipment from the drill floor to the mud module. Role included general drill floor maintenance, commissioning the NOV PRS - 4i 'foxhole' pipe racking system, working along NOV mapping the fingerboards etc. Familiarisation on the NOV TDX 1000 TDS, & also picking up and laying out range 2/3 pipe off the NOV CWS - P20-45 catwalk shuttle system. Building & assembling the 18.75" 10,000psi NOV shaffer spherical BOP, ready for operations, fitting & inspections on the ram blocks and cavities. Stripping the NOV 14-P-220 mud pumps and pump components on the fluid end for inspection and replace where necessary. Fluid transfers from pit to pit, gaining knowledge of the mud/mix pumps limitations and introduced an easy to follow Ulux chart for pit volume control. Familiarisation on the DERRICK triple hyperpool shale shakers & routing and stamping pipework.   Employed by Stena Drilling on the Don a semi-submersible drilling/workover rig in the North Sea. Working in an Assistant derrickman role/covering derrickman for all displacement, drilling, maintenance, put planning & day to day running on the mud module. Recent contracts have seen us drilling for Total, Cairn energy, & most recent working for EnQuest on the Kraken field using a riserless mud recovery system.
