Moving to an acute hospitals trust, this career progression offers me the ability to extend my orthopedic, rheumatology and oncology experience. Managing a diverse caseload of patients, we receive referrals from both consultants and general practitioners. The main scope of my physiotherapy practice is to diagnose and help patients to recover from musculoskeletal conditions. My experience to date also enables me to recognize conditions that may not improve as a result of my intervention and require onward referral. It is particularly vital that more sinister pathology is not only referred onward, but done so within good time. Show less

A more specialist role in comparison to the rotational post I held, I am now responsible for a full and varied MSK caseload consisting of patients experiencing acute, sub acute and chronic pain. A goal directed clinician, I aim to further develop my clinical skills to improve patient outcomes. I also have ambitions to increase my exposure to clinical education opportunities, service development opportunities and work in an integrated manner with the trust business model.

Working in an acute hospitals trust, my role involves the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of individuals who experience a range of debilitating medical conditions. Each individual's physiotherapy takes place in their respective environment i.e. the acute inpatient setting such as the intensive treatment unit or may involve them coming to the hospital as an outpatient visit. To date I have experienced rehabilitation in both the inpatient and outpatient environments.
