Director of Care / Clinical Nurse Consultant (prior)

1995 - 2002
Working for over 7 years with a leading a large multidisciplinary team providing community care services including, general and speciality nursing including wound, palliative, continence and diabetes, personal care staff, allied health, low and high home care packages, volunteers in the Redland's Community including the Southern Bay Islands, I was able to establish a number of clinics and obtain funding from various sources for a variety of equipment pieces, community nursing cars, and programs that provided benefits to the community. With demonstrated leadership, consistent review of quality activities and service growth, the service met accreditation criteria and fulfilled the standards of the HACC, Disability and DVA funding guidelines. Networking strongly with a wide variety of other services in both the Redland's and Brisbane areas and exploring the opportunities to partner with key stakeholders, made the Redland's Blue Care Branch one that was very highly regarded. Our onsite services included residential aged care, including a dementia secure unit, expansion of day centre respite services and a trial of a palliative care in the home unit Show less
