At Orange Fox, the word ‘boring’ has been banished to the fiery depths of hell. We encourage our clients to remove it from their vocabulary. We challenge our business partners to think differently as we believe the secret to good video storytelling is authenticity. The best marketing adverts don’t sell you a product or a service, they make you feel something. Laughter. Tears. Excitement. As video storytellers, it’s our job to help customers understand a company’s values through useful, original or unique video content. Video should always have a purpose and bring value to your customer, whether through laughter, practical advice or creative insights. Customers look to you for education, entertainment and excitement, and your ultimate goal is engagement. Orange Fox has a grown into fluid, full service visual communications agency based in Leicester’s cultural quarter. Our strong network of creative talent that includes cinematographers, animators, video editors and design experts means we can tailor-make the team that suits your brief. Show less

Module Facilitator for Professional Practice on the BA Professional Studies in the Creative Industries (BAPSCI) degree. The Professional Practice module requires students to explore and produce a collaborative creative industries project, whereby the diverse skills and knowledge within the cohort converge. The project operates using a production team model which generates reflection upon the students own learning and allows for the critical evaluation of interpersonal skills required for successful team production. Working in small production teams the students task is to develop a response to an industry-facing live brief and present their campaign idea to the client at the end of the module. Show less

The budgets of our shorts ranged from a couple of hundred pounds to several thousand and I was jointly responsible for the camera department, equipment rental, and equipment maintenance. Working closely with another cinematographer I helped develop the look and feel of each film, developing storyboards, floor plans and shot lists. My role at Twist & Shout encompassed a variety of production, design and office related tasks. I was tasked with keeping the department organised, making sure all edit projects and footage was stored and backed up safely and that projects where archived. I undertook small video editing jobs using Adobe Premier Pro and/or Final Cut 7 using Compressor, Adobe Media Encoder and MPEG Stream clip to convert files into various formats for client delivery as well as using audio editing software Adobe SoundBooth or Soundtrack Pro.I would regularly lay-out and design proposal documents for pitches and storyboards using Adobe In-Design as well as conducting project research such as finding clips on YouTube and Vimeo and still images. In addition to managing our Vimeo site, uploading films and sending login details to clients I would liaise with clients via email and telephone.I also had the opportunity to get involved in creative brainstorm sessions and provide occasional shoot support with the chance to act as runner or 2nd Camera and also creating Kit lists for shoots and maintaining and managing all office equipment such as tripods, sound equipment, and cameras.KEY SKILLS:* Video Editing & Post Production* Video Project Archiving* Proposal/Pitch Design & Layout (Photoshop, In-Design)* Social Media & Blogging* Client Management* Equipment Maintenance * Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel* Research tasks, Office admin Show less
