  I help at the newsagents doing a range of activities such as serving and stock taking allowing me to build on my confidence talking and serving customers, so they are satisfied with their service. Some of the customers only come in for one item, may that be a paper or a packet of mints, but for some of our customers it might be the only communication they get that day or even week. So I try to make sure every customer has the best experience , so if they want to have a quick 2 minute chat about something in the paper or something happening in the area or community then I do my best to make sure they get that as it will put a smile on there face and mine. This part time job has allowed me to be more confident and time efficient in my work . It has also put me outside my comfort zone and done something I would of never thought I would do especially at my age. Show less

  During this work experience with the law firm, I did a range of activities in the different sectors within the firm, for example corporate, real estate, real estate disputes, and dispute resolution. Then we learned about the roles within the firm and how they work together to care for clients to give them the best result possible. It was an amazing experience that made me see how they cared for the clients and how their value and culture makes them stand out as a commercial law firm.   PwC's insight week was across virtual sessions which during we learned more about the business and how they help clients solve important problems. In different sessions we learned more about the different lines of work they offer which were consulting, auditing, operate,tax and technology. My thoughts about the experience were it was really interesting especially as I am looking at going into business or accountancy. It gives me an insight into what the tasks of the lines of service are like. The auditing session was my favorite and I was really interested and getting the hang of it. Show less

  It was a 3 day virtual work experience through the half term 9-4 where we got an insight into large companies and what they have to offer . For example EY , Capgemini, Browne Jacobson ,Vodafone and many more amazing companies . It give me an amazing insight into the different routes you could go down to get into careers to do with technology , business and accounting. Whilst learning about what each company is about and there values , the different apprenticeship programmes they each offer and the skills and opportunities each company offer as a whole . Amazing 3 days and I'm glad I signed up to it as it has helped me in deciding what I should do over the next 2 years in sixth form and what research I should do before making before my next stage into the career and business world.
