Responsible for providing HR operational support through responsive and quality HR advice in line with company policy and to identify areas for improvement within the HR process and make appropriate recommendations as well as supporting in the numerous ongoing HR projects and initiatives. Key duties include: • Support in the development of job descriptions and person specification for new and existing roles to ensure job function and accountabilities are accurately recorded • Support the recruitment process through the development of job adverts, sourcing, shortlisting, scheduling and attending interviews and providing timely feedback to candidates • Liaise with recruitment agencies where external support is required • Ensure effective implementation of employee induction and orientation plans, ensuring subsequent follow up • Provide support to line managers with employee relations matters, including absence management, grievances, disciplinary and performance issues in line with company polices and procedures • Conduct exit interviews taking appropriate action as required where areas of concern are highlighted • In conjunction with the HR Manager facilitate the performance management cycle, including probation and appraisals • Support the HR Manager in the formulation and delivery of the HR Strategy • Generate HR dashboards in line with key HR KPIs • Work with the Learning and Development team to ensure successful delivery of the agreed training plan to guarantee budgeted training is effectively utilised • Liaise with the union with direction from the HR Manager on all matters including pay negotiations and IR issues • Support in the formulation and delivery of HR related training programmes on site • General administrative duties to support all HR activities ensuring all appropriate paperwork is forwarded to the group HR function
