As an independent project lead for the Youth Migration Services, I planned and executed projects that help teenage refugees to gain vital social competences as well as provide linguistic and political education. Main tasks included: outreach activities, teaching. Often in close cooperation with the Communal Integration Centre (KI Stadt Hamm). I also acted as a facilitator of communication courses according to the German as a Foreign Language curriculum. Participant Talent Program World Class The Hague 2021/2022

The World Class The Hague is a one-year talent programme during which I was given the opportunity to visit and network with leading organisations in the city such as the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and guest talks such as about Ukraine and Russia relations. I expanded my knowledge on global leadership and gained important insights on the role of The Hague in international relations. Assisted a large research consortium (i.e. Leiden University, Duke University, Samuel Hall, Mixed Migration Centre - Danish Refugee Council) to submit a proposal to the European Horizon funding programme. My main tasks included project and stakeholder management, data management, and admin. I learnt how to work with a multitude of stakeholders and improved my skills in writing research proposals. UN Partner Organisation. Assisted the Women’s Platform Personal Development Manager with admin, M&E, salesforce, data processing, and the contacting of beneficiaries. Responsible for technical support and hosting of open workshops which cater towards the economic and personal empowerment (including anxiety & trauma regulation) of women who have migrated from other African countries and South African women alike. Introduction Speaker Women's March 2019

Was selected as a speaker at the 2019 Women's March Groningen and raised awareness about the importance of civil action against violence against women as well as against the transgender and gender non-confirming community. I was honoured to speak next to amazing young women that shared their inspiring life stories that turned into activism which pushed me to further my own actions. As the chair of the Awareness Committee, I worked on establishing a team that is effective in carrying out far-reaching events with focus on refugee and women's rights. Through networking skills, we were able to form a collaboration with the EU-funded "Colours of a Journey" project which is facilitated by transform!europe, change4all, EurocultureNetwork, SOSRacism Portugal & ARCI and exhibits paintings of marginalised refugee children that are asked to visualise their past, present, and future.

As a PR Officer, I was responsible for managing relations with external partners such as the Gemeente Groningen (The city of Groningen) and creating media and communications content during which my background in International Communication was an asset.
