Architectural Intern
-
May 2018 - Aug 2019
As an intern, I helped with various stages of design, construction, and city and federal code analysis. I designed iterations of single family homes and accessory dwelling units, as well as creating presentation document sets for clients and permit and construction sets for the City of Austin using Revit. I also worked on a competition entry for a 3,000-unit affordable housing complex in Cambodia. As an intern, I helped with various stages of design, construction, and city and federal code analysis. Through this job, I gained insight into the collaborative nature of the architectural process, while also coming to understand the different phases of design and construction. Dealing with entitlement packages and legal building codes has also revealed to me the limitations around which architects must work.
