Julie Bartkus - Transforming Workplace Culture

Leah helped me to make the first annual Child Care Business Success Conference a HUGE success. I am so grateful she served as a team member with unlimited enthusiasm to help me create the perfect energetic environment for child care business owners and directors. She served as my on-site assistant handling multiple projects during the course of the event. She (without hesitation) agreed to get on stage in front of my audience and make announcements throughout the course of the event. She brings joy and a can-do attitude with her in all that she does. She went above and beyond with her preparation and attention to detail. She is incredibly personable and a PURE delight to work with. I can't wait for next year's event and the opportunity to work with Leah again!! Julie Bartkus, Founder Child Care Business Success

I completed the three year graduate Clinical/Community Mental Health Program in the Psychology department Spring of 2020. The WIU program is quite extensive, allowing for training in psychological assessments including the WAIS-IV, MCMI-IV, and various other instruments. Additionally, our program is unique in that I was able to have my own caseload of clients my second year of study as we have a free clinic for mental health services that is open to both the college and public. Additionally, during my time at WIU I worked as a Graduate Assistant to professors and had roles with research, proctoring, and department roles. I also worked as a tutor through the Rocky Resources Program, as well as acted as a Graduate Ambassador who guided prospective students and served on informational panels. Show less

I was happy and excited to be able to return to assist with the 2nd Annual Child Care Business Success Conference! Being able to talk with the conference attendees, getting them motivated in between sessions, and answering any concerns was marvelous as I was able to see true passion in this industry. Working with Julie and her other assistants was a stimulating experience as I felt as though I was able to continue learning about the event planning industry, as well as continuing to hone my public speaking skills while introducing the announcements throughout the day. This is a wonderful organization and I am happy to have served it in it's second year! Show less

I was asked to help the First Annual Child Care Business Success Conference in the capacity of an assistant. I helped out with many aspects of the conference including making announcements between sessions, answering questions (customer service), working the registration table, and many other tasks. This was an amazing opportunity as I was able to utilize my public speaking skills as well as work in the event planning industry. I hope to be able to help out again at the second conference.
