I started as a temp in February 2012 and was hired on in November 2012. I worked children in a residential setting on Little City Campus in Palatine. I worked mainly in the all girls home, with 10 young ladies who's primary diagnoses was Autism, and had a dual diagnoses of a mental health and/or a behavioral disorder. I had children that ranged from on the low end of the Autism Spectrum and non-verbal to children who had Aspergers and were verbal. In addition, I worked with children that were mildly aggressive to very aggressive and was trained in CPI. I assisted clients with ADL's, worked on client's therapeutic goals and maintained the home.
