San Francisco de Coyote, Costa Rica I assisted with nightly beach surveys looking for nesting Olive Ridleys, Green sea turtles, or Leatherbacks. Once a turtle was found, biometric data was collected and the nest was relocated to the camp hatchery. If nesting activity was observed, I had to analyze the track to determine whether or not a nest is there. Hatchery duties included making sure animals didn't get into the hatchery during the night, collecting new hatchlings, and releasing hatchlings.
