I wholeheartedly recommend Layne Owens for any position she seeks. Although I have never before written such a blanket endorsement, Layen Owens is a rare individual whose sense of responsibility and whose talents match her career aspirations. In other words, Layne would only seek a position where she could excel and offer a superior skill set. Layne Owens is a former student of mine at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her performance in my classes was excllent in several respects. Layne was timely in submitting her assignments, expert at writing research papers, and highly participative in class and seminar. Indeed, I talked Layne into graduate school, where she again exceled. But Layne's heart is in helping organizations. So she will not return for her PhD, though I would like to see her around ASU again. Since graduation, Layne has kept in touch with me. Layne Owens is genuinely kind in that she honestly cares for other people, although they no longer matter to her present goal pursuits.
