The culture that Larry has infused into Fan of the Feather is evident from the moment you enter the door - Larry and Vanessa greet the program participants with hugs and interact with them like family. There are no numbers in this program - just names and faces. The camaraderie, connectedness, and intimacy that Larry has fostered in this program is a testament to his character. He's made Fan of the Feather one-of-a-kind!

I had the pleasure of being a colleague of Dr. L. A. Wood in the Department of Ophthalmology at Naval Hospital, Long Beach from 1991 to 1993. I view him not only as a singularly accomplished professional but also as a humanist who establishes extraordinary rapport with his patients as part of an ideal, mutually beneficial relationship to which we, as physicians, all aspire. It was an honor to have worked with him.

The Strawberry Tree is a short story for Christmas. There is another tree and Josephus Thomas Thatch-hut will find it and it's meaning. First novel, Among Pigeons is a crime story involving a homeless man, Roman Barnes, during one summer of his life, as seen through his eyes. Has co-authored the screenplay of the same name. Love and Death Among Pigeons. In every situation, a man is drawn to his nature, to provide and protect. When, homeless, Roman Barnes is forced to take care of a homeless woman and a friend's dog, he finds himself involved in a murder investigation. Living Among Pigeons is on the way! Show less
