Bio
Julian Friend
While majoring in Criminal Justice at the UofA, Lawonia and I shared several classes together. We've also kept in touch over the years as each of us has pursued a career in education. Lawonia's devotion to quality education has been a constant in her career as a student and educator. She takes the extra step for her students and inspires them to achieve their best. Lawonia's "people smarts" is what I most admire about her. She's warm and engaging with colleagues, students, parents, and administrators alike. Because of her leadership skills and infectious interest in learning, students like being in her classroom, and that's one of the highest compliments you can pay a teacher. She would be an asset for any faculty that she joined.
