  I hold the hybrid position of producing the Noon and 5:00 PM newscasts during the week editing the 6:00 and 11:00 PM newscasts on the weekend. My daily job duties include writing, overseeing and organizing production elements of the newscast, checking wire stories and CBS network feeds for up-to-date and breaking news, communicating with reporters and the assignment manager on stories, coordinating traffic reports with a helicopter pilot, communicating with sister stations, communicating with production, coordinating live shots and special on-set segments, posting stories to the web, monitoring and posting to social media, and uploading video to the web. On weekends I edit the 6 and 11pm newscasts. My daily job duties include overseeing and organizing video using Edius Green Valley software. Communicating with production, lining up proper coordinates for live shots, taking microwave and TVU feeds, and ensuring that proper video is uploaded to CBS Newspath upon request. Show less
