My role at Lloyds Pharmacy was an incredibly flexible and diverse role. Prior to obtaining my dispensing certification I was responsible for ordering in stock for the shop floor, date checking and correctly disposing of any expired medications, and ensuring our shop floor layout matched the approved planogram to increase sales. Following my completed counter training, I was able to work on putting together life saving medications, which required carefully handling drugs, always ensuring the correct strength, quantity and product type was selected and correctly labeling these with the instructions on how to take the medication. This job required a lot of precision and also the handling of confidential data. It was also a part of my job role to schedule in appointments and carry out health assessments, as well as monthly training on new medications or seasonal products. Show less

I worked part time at Primark while completing my studies in Sheffield. This enabled me to work on my time managment, not only within work but in my own time, as I needed to manage my studies and a job. My duties at Primark required keeping things organised, assisting with customer enquiries, and helping in other departments when it was busy. This has taught me how to be flexible within a job and to learn quickly how to work within new environments. I worked part time at Primark while completing my studies in Sheffield. Over the summer between completing my A level studies and moving away to University I took on a role at Tesco. This allowed me to gather more work experience where I further proved my competence with assisting with customer requests, time keeping, accurately handling money and maintaining customer satisfaction. While studying my A Levels I took on a part-time Christmas temp job at Argos to begin gathering work experience for the future. This role required me to engage with customers, handle money and manage time to ensure all of the required jobs were completed within a given time frame.
