I had the pleasure of working with Laurina this year on a rather complex procurement for a digital project. Laurina was fantastically helpful and supportive, as well as being very knowledgeable, and super efficient. As a result of her hard work and commercial astuteness, we were able to complete the procurement exercise in record time and ensured a value for money contract can be set up using the GDS procurement framework. I have learned so much from her and would whole heartedly recommend her!

My role included analysing spend data to see where the company can make savings, this included discussing with stake holders how to create added value to the company and ensuring synergy between different schools to reduce costs. I drafted OJEU adverts, ITT specification and evaluation templates for the procurement of services, goods and works, as well as evaluating bids and communicating with suppliers. I was responsible for creating, amending and managing contracts. I also monitored and prepared databases to store price indices, contract periods and exit provisions. I supported novel ICT projects that includes GDPR and TUPE. I learnt to have a good understanding of the public contracts regulations 2015. Show less

Responsible for delivering clinical projects as a project lead. Duties involve procuring equipment and services, including reagents and materials, while keeping within budget constraints. To achieve this a high degree of organisation and planning, logistics and resource scheduling and fast throughput is required. Other key elements of the role include creating analytical plans, delivering project specific training and data I have recently been allocated as the Lean Leader in my department. The Lean Leader’s role is to improve processes in the laboratory. I enjoy this role and have incorporated steps in the workplace that have increased the quality of workflow and removed waste. I have received positive feedback about the increased productivity and savings to the company. Show less
