IOP is a non-profit in rural South Africa that cares for HIV/AIDs orphans through donor facilitation, a daily feeding programme, and education development. During my one-year contract with IOP, I wrote the copy for their website and marketing material. I assisted in the facilitation of all of their projects while managing volunteers and donors from around the world. The Zululand Observer - a Caxton Media-owned company - serves the community of Zululand in South Africa with no less than five publications aimed at different sectors of our community. We publish three free-drop newspapers, and two flagship weekly sold newspapers. I manage a team of 11 journalists, 24hrs a day, seven days a week to ensure there is good content on the right page, at the right time.
