Oct 2022 - Present
Resolution Homes are a medium-sized residential property developer and builder located in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, and pride themselves on providing a quality product. I have been delivering support to project managers in preparing and delivering various tasks across entire project timelines, such as quote comparisons, review of architectural drawings, and communicating with the on-site team regarding progress and construction issues. As well as this I co-ordinate and contribute to meetings with various project stakeholders such as suppliers, M&E contractors, customer housing associations, and council representatives and assist in providing comparison for organisation decision makers to compare and agree on vendors. Ceetak is a leading supplier of sealing solutions and technology in the UK. With several sites across the UK and Europe and an annual turnover of over £20 million.I was the technical lead for my responsible area, cooperating with an account manager and commercial team to deliver timely and high-quality design solutions and advice for client requests and queries. The main day-to-day responsibilities of my role included concept to final design development, failure mode analysis, creating and maintaining CAD designs and drawings, as well as maintaining communications with clients regarding their projects. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I took on project management responsibilities such as managing customer accounts, supply chains and negotiation as well as continuing with technical/design responsibilities in covering the long-term absence of the Area Account Manager. We retained all accounts and sales saw a marked increase on the previous year.I was chosen to take the technical lead for renewable energy projects. This involved working closely with Marketing and Sales Teams before leading projects such as a hydrogen production unit through electrolysis, sealing arrangements for small-scale wind turbines, and downhole drilling in a geothermal application. I started as an apprentice mechanical engineer in 2015, spending most of my time in manufacturing and assembly, design and quality assurance/control departments. I also had short spells learning about and working in other integral functions of the company such as Procurement, Sales and Accounts. In this period I gained valuable understanding of business operations and the relationships between departments as well as how they operate. After 2 years, began to work in the technical support department developing skills and knowledge using CAD and producing technical drawings as well as understanding project life cycles and their key stages. By the last year of my apprenticeship, I was managing projects under supervision, for an entire area. Show less
