  Working on consulting projects as a geomodeler in the Geosciences and Petroleum Engineering department of Schlumberger PetroTechnical Services. I have been involved in modeling compartmentalized fields, appraising the potential of brown fields, green fields and exploration targets, characterizing deep water / thin bed reservoirs, performing structural modeling and restoration (in 2D and 3D) of several basins and fields and modeling fractured carbonate reservoir. In parallel, I am providing regular input to software development and have initiated, conceived or developed most of the features relating to structural modeling/gridding recently released in the Petrel software.

  My main challenge has been to renew the modeling technology underlying Petrel. The Volume-Based Modeling technique (VBM) and the Seismic Restoration 2D processes are the first products based on this new modeling infrastructure - and there is much more to come! This new modeling technology was designed and conceived in collaboration with Francois Lepage (now at Rocksoft), and integrated in Petrel by the Structural Modeling team in the Montpellier Technology Center.
