I worked with LP Consulting & Lauren who I knew to be a brilliant mind from our days in business school. She prepared a VC intro deck for a $10MM business that had grown 2x YoY. She succinctly portrayed the business in exactly the right light, was always looking for ways to think outside the box, and stayed on time and in budget. Highly recommend!

Lauren is one of those people I'm always thinking of when I need help navigating a challenge or opportunity. I've been lucky enough have her thoughtful guidance on more than one occasion over the years and have always benefited greatly from it. Lauren's experience operating and scaling startups paired with her background in "Big 4" consulting makes her a uniquely qualified advisor in countless areas. Hope to have LPC in my corner for years to come!

Lauren Pearl took two courses with me and became a member of my research team while pursuing her B.A. in psychology at Boston University. I had the opportunity to get to know her very well. She is an extremely bright and articulate young woman who, I think, will excel at whatever she undertakes. In my experimental psychology class, she did an excellent study of the relationship between empathy and tolerance for governmental aggression. Because she became interested in my research team’s work on tolerance for governmental aggression, she joined the team for the academic year 2008-2009, and proved herself to be a valuable member of the group. As part of her contribution to the team, Lauren worked with one of my graduate students to conduct a simple field experiment investigating the potential association between messages designed to stimulate moral engagement in ecological activities and frequency of engaging in recycling. She wrote a paper reporting on the results of the study as well as making an oral presentation to the group, and both the written and oral report were of superior quality. Lauren, as indicated, is a bright and productive young woman with a great deal to offer any group. She is thoughtful and assertive and finishes what she starts. She will make a major contribution wherever she goes. I recommend her strongly and without reservation. Sincerely, Kathleen Malley-Morrison Professor

I started LPC as a side-project while founding a different company. But it turns out, help from an ex-CEO with 13+ years training as COO, CFO, and Chief of Staff is something a lot of folks need! Growing this business is now my full-time mission! — LPC is the solution for when it feels like your startup has gone off the rails. They say you fake it until you make it as a founder. But for some founders, it might feel like you’re faking it a little too often. Making mistakes is par for the course when you’re just starting out. But what happens once you have a staff to pay? Are you willing to bet everything you’ve built on winging it? In this hostile financial environment, the stakes are even higher! My clients don’t worry about faking anything. They have an experienced expert on staff who clears blockers, sets a clear path, connects them to the most trusted tech and partners, and ensures everything is set up to scale according to best practices. Over the past 2 years, I’ve helped more than a dozen founders get their companies set up, under control, and scaling effortlessly!

Ship Essential is a logistics startup based in NYC that offers ground-breaking last mile delivery solutions, especially for ecommerce brands. They leverage an advantage in real estate and partnering with urban delivery providers to unlock services other 3PLs cannot: faster delivery, omnichannel capabilities (pop-up stores, pick up, etc), and a premium customer experience. I joined Ship Essential as their Fractional CFO, helping them optimize operations, reporting, and pricing. In a market where few retailers are getting ANY investment, I also created their pitch deck, data room, and investor outreach plan, resulting in $1M+ in seed capital.

Notorious worldwide in the infosec community, Trail of Bits is the most famous security company that you’ve probably never heard of (hackers hate Linkedin).Started in 2012 by a group of prestigious hackers, ToB now partners with DARPA, the majority of Big Tech, and many of the other Fortune 100 to solve novel security challenges no others are capable of addressing.I joined ToB as their first full time non-engineer in 2017 when they were just 10 hackers doing $1M in annual. Over 4 years, I worked alongside CEO Dan Guido to grow the company into the dominant industry giant they are today. This is also where I got involved with the osquery (secops open source tool) community where I wrote foundational user research peices, helped craft community contribution policy, and served as an expert lecturer on osquery in conferences and for clients. I also spearheaded and led Trail of Bit's open source engineering team which commercialized our contributions to open source projects.

First role out of college, a boutique Microsoft partner hired me as their first junior engineer despite internal conflict on the decision: The COO worried I was fresh out of school and "Was a smart kid but didn't know anything yet." The CEO argued that - based on my interview - some day, I'd be running the firm. Luckily, the CEO won the argument! I was the youngest employee by 15+ years, billable and client-facing within 2 weeks, and fully certified with the highest test scores on record in the office in <6 months. ...And it turns out the CEO was also right! Less than 10 years later, I was running a consulting firm.
