The first two words that come to mind when I think of Lauren are "authentic" and "natural." I wholeheartedly recommend Lauren for individual therapy, group work, and supervision (as these are the three areas I've personally seen her perform in.) Lauren Walther is a genuine clinician with a warm, calming energy. I've had many supervision meetings and co-facilitated Chemical Dependency groups with her, but was truly taken aback with how natural it felt to have appointments with her via Skype / webcam as well. Lauren is knowledgable, professional, and easy to interact with. I was lucky enough to work with Lauren for about a year and she has truly been an important mentor for me, both professionally and personally. Lauren provided supervision for me while I was acquiring hours to gain my Peer Recovery Support Specialist certification. Lauren helped me navigate an ethical dilemma I experienced - I felt 100% supported by her during that brief but confusing time. While Lauren didn't serve as my therapist, per se, I definitely was excited for our supervision meetings each week and felt that there was something therapeutic about them as well. As a person in long-term recovery working in the mental health / addiction treatment industry, Lauren helped me to grow clinically while also providing guidance as it pertained to my personal recovery.
