Lauren is driven, passionate and will not take "No" for an answer. She is one of the best investigative producers I have had the pleasure of working with. Lauren writes, researches and produces investigative stories that make a difference. She is detail orientated and knowledgeable on the best way to dig, find or request information/records from agencies for investigative stories.

After nearly a decade working behind the scenes as an investigative producer, I became the face of my own investigations. During my nearly five years on-air at WINK, I exposed the investigation of several police officers for their potential connection to the murder of a drug informant, exposed fraudulent and deceptive business owners and their practices, and launched a years-long project to help consumers navigate health care costs. I spent nearly two years producing for a team of storied journalists at the top-rated NBC affiliate in Houston. I served as the newsroom's computer assisted reported specalist, utilized publicly available data to uncover trends and topics of interest. During my stint at KPRC I worked on a four-part serious about illegal immigration and crime, held the state health department accountable in the wake of the Blue Bell ice cream listeria outbreak and exposed obsolete bridge railings that may have contributed to a fatal school bus crash. We also tracked down a pool contractor who had left dozens of families with concrete pits in their backyards, and subcontractors threatening liens. Our team was able to track him to North Carolina, and inspire the community of builders to come together to finish the work left undone. Show less

I spent nearly five years on Central Florida working with some of the best investigative reporters and photojournalists in the country. As a producer in a unit focused on both investigations and special promotable pieces I had to wear many hats and produce a wide range of stories from crime and corruption to fitness and health trends. During my time at WKMG, I worked as the field producer for both the Casey Anthony and George Zimmerman trials, covered the 2012 Republican national convention and also went with a crew to Newtown, Connecticut to cover the aftermath of the Sandy Hook shooting tragedy. My investigative pieces have landed conartists and criminals behind bars and also been the subject of Congressional hearings. Show less

I came to Southwest Florida after only 11 months in the business and went from weekend producer, to special projects producer, to Executive Producer of investigations in the span of four and a half years. During this time I won an Emmy award, two murrow awards, and several other regional awards for work on investigative and special content.
