Throughout Lauren's internship at Umbrage Editions, her judgment and command of design skills were excellent, particularly considering the frenetic pace of our office during her short time here. In terms of work, she was a tremendous help to us and assisted with everything from initial drafts of design for author evaluation and sign off to fitting final book copy to creating press materials and media kits. She was also instrumental in the installation of the exhibitions, assisting with gallery maintenance, titling, and signage. Most impressively, Lauren took initiative in areas above and beyond what is expected from an internship, working late and staying the course to help solve a huge computer drama that ensued (of course at the most inopportune time!). When she had a doubt or was unsure how to proceed, she was clear and specific in her questions—always very professional.
