I assisted Veterinarians in restraint, sample collection, and laboratory tests on small animals(dogs and cats). I kept record of all tests and results on each patient along with other pertinent notes. Alongside of medical duties and recordkeeping I also helped house animals in a clean and safe environment, provide them with necessary food, water, and medicine. I helped administer medication (IM, IV, PO, SQ), assisted in surgeries (spay, neuter, gastropexy, dental w/wo extractions), and preformed more extensive diagnostics on patients (xray, blood/urine/fecal/ect. Collection for testing). I effectively communicated with my team, supervisors, and clients to best assist the animal in what they needed and educate clients in necessary areas. Show less
