Over the course of 7 weeks that I spent in Cape Town, South Africa, my peers and I designed and developed a web application for Youth in Transformation to be able to track data on their students and their tutoring sessions. This process involved lots of communication with future users, namely the administrators and tutors at YIT, in order to better understand their specific needs, especially in the context of a culture that is completely different from my own.
