- Main point of contact for processing donations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data entry. I issue charitable tax receipts on a daily basis, ensuring all gifts meet the eligible criteria for a charitable tax receipt and full documentation is submitted for backup and auditing purposes. Abiding by CRA guidelines.- Use the following programs on a daily basis, Microsoft Excel, word, Peoplesoft, FAST, Advance, Online Giving program, Smartsheet and Acquire. - Provide training to new hires on Advance pertaining to navigating the gifts on donor records and submitting documentation to our office. - I train new hires within our department and participate in hiring panels for vacant positions within our office. (Implemented the virtual training during Covid, to support my colleagues who were new hires). - I take a lead on projects and bring ideas/suggestions forward to improve our best practices. Working closely with our IT Department to implement these changes. - Enhanced current platforms to add additional functions to improve processes.- Testing Advance and Online giving platform for new updates, to enhance user experience and end user.- Reconcile our pending funds and initiate disbursement for the Alma Mater Student groups, I provide follow up to ensure funds are meeting goals and to initiate the conversations to have funds created- Complete journal entries on Peoplesoft, use FAST for reconciling funds and tracking down donations.- I provide great customer service to both faculty/staff throughout the University as well as donors. Ensuring all inquiries are handled in a timely manner and resolve any issues that may arise.- I take on additional tasks such as tracking securities, sending financial reports, testing new programs and any tasks requested of me.
