• Americorps VISTA Farming Coordinator

  I coordinate various projects for CCFB's Farming & Gleaning program aiming to get healthier food options into the emergency food system and support local growers. I coordinate volunteers for our own food bank farming operation and our 'glean team' produce acquisition efforts at a local farmers market. This addresses the first part of our mission, "Alleviating Hunger". I'm working to strengthen our existing relationships and build new ones with community partners that include farmers, gardeners, food pantries, schools. I am working to develop the educational aspects of our Farming & Gleaning program to address the second part of our mission 'Alleviating the Root Causes of Hunger'. Show less
