  I'm working to develop the Farming & Gleaning program for Clark County Food Bank here in Vancouver, Washington. We believe that everyone deserves to have access to fresh, quality, healthful foods as a basic human right. Our organization’s mission is to 'alleviate hunger and its root causes' and we are doing so in many different facets. In my role as Local Produce Coordinator I’m working to not only strengthen our existing community partnerships with local farmers, food pantries, and volunteers but also foster new ones. We are developing and implementing programs to teach clients how to grow their own food on a budget in order to supplement food costs. We will also be working with local growers as guides for our own farming projects and partners in our gleaning/food waste mitigation efforts.
