Bio
Suzanne Kratzig
I was Lauren’s supervisor during her tenure at Harvard University, where she worked as a Laspau Placement Specialist placing Fulbright students from Latin America and the Caribbean into graduate programs across the United States. Right off the bat, Lauren impressed me with her quick grasp of the complexities of the position – from the technical skills to the relationship and communication skills. Lauren quickly and easily built relationships with the Fulbright students she coached through the placement process; her communication was clear, direct, and friendly. She also stepped up to the plate to deliver webinars and facilitate virtual coffee hours with students and alumni fairly early, and her presentation and facilitation skills were incredible. Lauren exhibited other strong leadership skills as well, including diplomacy. In meetings with people expressing opposing views, Lauren often listened carefully, acknowledged and validated the various viewpoints, and offered a creative solution that worked for everyone. Lauren never hesitated to share ideas on how to improve our processes or services, and we followed her recommendations with great results. Finally, Lauren excelled at connecting not only with her students, but also with our other key partners: university contacts from across the U.S., and Fulbright clients from across Latin America and the Caribbean. These partners frequently spoke to me about how happy they were Lauren had joined the team. I would not hesitate to hire Lauren again, if given the opportunity.
