  I work in a small school environment with at-risk youth that include boys and girls, ages 12 to 20, struggling with a wide range of behavioral and emotional problems. Implements Restorative Practices supporting positive social interaction to inspire students to higher levels of academic success. By using the Social Discipline Window I work WITH the students NOT TO or FOR the students. By using the Restorative Questions the students take ownership for negative behavior or actions.Creates “Understanding by Design” units of instruction for Health and Physical Education and implements them through interactive lesson plans.I have found by using cooperative games, team building and decision making skills this creates a bond which helps the community grow in a positive way.
