I worked at Woolworths in a customer service role from 2013 - 2017, which helped me to develop strong communication and sales skills. It is a busy and chaotic workplace where I have learnt to think on my feet and multi-task so as to make sure our business runs as efficiently as possible, while also maximising profit. On this project our job was to transform an unused and neglected space on the Queensland College of Arts campus, into a lush and inviting area where students and teachers could eat, work or hang out. In doing this we made sure to incorporate colors which matched the area of the campus that we were working with, as well as student artworks. The final result was a low maintenance, energetic space there students and teachers could go to feel refreshed and reinvigorated. In this project we redesigned the facade of the Woolloongabba Reverse Garbage shop. There were severe budget constrains and we were mostly limited to using materials which could be found within the store. In the end we created a facade which reflected the fun, creative, community orientated and environmentally conscious nature of Reverse Garbage. I worked on a project that was designed to revitalize the small country town of Charleville. My role involved redesigning the facade of the Cosmos Centre, which was particularly important as it is one of the first buildings you see when entering the town. The project was challenging as there were severe budget constraints. To combat this we structured out design so that easy, immediate changes could be made to the facade, while also proposing future design changes if the budget constrains allowed for them. Show less
