      While interning for LSSI I facilitated groups for substance abusers and substance dependent. I performed intakes, wrote treatment plans, and maintained up to date charting for my clients. Because LSSI was a smaller facility with only 2 other counselors I was able to really experience many of the different aspects. I am most proud that I was able to step up and fulfill the majority of the roles of one of the counselors when she was away for a 2 week vacation. While I always had my supervisor to ask for help and who would look over anything I needed I was able to really find myself as a counselor while interning there.
