- Acted as the transportation conformity and mobile sources planner for the Division of Air Quality (DAQ) and the liaison between DNREC, DelDOT and the MPOs. Was able to take programs with sometimes conflicting priorities and through use of interpersonal skills, reach compromise. - Was responsible for the update, revision, drafting and defense of Regulations 1126 and 1131 which govern and direct the programmatic elements and compliance procedures of Delaware's Statewide Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Program. - Coordinated with DMV personnel to ensure all documents were updated in accordance with Delaware's State Implementation Plan (SIP). - Reviewed land use plans and submitted PLUS (Preliminary Land Use Service) comments on behalf of DAQ. - Functioned as the statewide DNREC representative at Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings. - Issued environmental guidance to agencies and developers including development projects using Federal dollars through the NEPA process. - Collaborated with MPOs and DelDOT to carry out transportation conformity processes and ensured that when crafting their Capital Transportation Program (CTP or STIP) and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that it complied with the provisions of the FHWA and EPA Clean Air Act requirements. - Worked to expand multi-modal opportunities (through bike lanes, shared use paths and sidewalks) and alternative fueling infrastructure (including Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (ESVE) to facilitate the push from vehicle-centric travel to other modes. - Facilitated Statewide Idling Workgroup and worked on harmonizing Regional Idling strategies with the Ozone Transport Commission (OTC). - Generated strategies, regulatory developments and processes to maintain and better Delaware's air quality levels. - Participated in three-person working group whose responsibility was developing a plan for the expenditure of $9.6 million in VW Environmental Mitigation Trust Funds in DE. - Served as one of two cartographers at DelDOT within the Planning Division responsible for the operation of DelDOT’s Mapping Department. - Was responsible for (a few years) and trained in the use and allocation of the Municipal Street Aid (MSA) Program funding disbursement. Handled $6 million in capital funds allocated to 57 municipalities across the state. - Responsible for generating State of Delaware transportation maps both in paper and digitally (through GIS) and digitizing segments into DelDOT's central database. -Worked with photojournalist and the Delaware Economic Development Office (DEDO) to piece together and design the look of each new transportation map. - Performed QA/QC of Functional Classification Map update for submittal to FHWA. - Generated maintenance maps, snow plow maps, representative district maps, county maps and all other derivative mapping products. - Helped work with Regional Systems Planning group to facilitate the transfer of the Delaware paper map and Microstation map into a digital GIS map that individuals could access via the DelDOT website. - Printed maps, generated signs and visuals and mounted on foam board for all Divisions for presentations to use as a visual aid. - Updated and maintained DelDOT TMC intersection database data. - Responsible for maintaining and digitizing sidewalk layer to help support the development and update of DelDOT's Gateway Application.
