Primarily to oversee all aspects of the Special Education program at BASIS Phoenix Central and now at BASIS Chandler Primary - South Campus, which includes programs under IDEA, Section 504, and complete all necessary items regarding the English Language Learners as put forth by the Arizona Department of Education. Oversee the activities of SPED staff members (at BPC I had seven staff, currently three staff) in connection with this obligation. As the Senior SPED Coordinator, I ensure that school special education practices are aligned with all pertinent regulations and laws. I identify the need for, plan and execute all standardized and child specific testing and services for students on my caseload.
