  I served as a representative for my church for a period of 18 months in Iquitos, Peru. I spoke Spanish the entire time and am now fluent. I also had the honor of serving as part of mission leadership as a Trainer and as a Sister Trainer Leader the second half of my mission. I learned how to set and achieve high goals. Other skills I acquired such as accountability, diligence, optimism, and communicating with patience and charity for others truly shaped who I am and greatly enhanced my capacities to serve in the workforce.   In this position I assisted in the office doing secretarial, bookkeeping, and miscellaneous tasks. I frequently filed, sorted, mailed, and spoke with customers in person and over the phone. I helped to organize the setup and opening of a new True Hardware store. I also assisted with the daily data entry and became familiar with QuickBooks as well as Excel and Word. This job helped me to become versatile and learn new skills quickly. Sevillano Links Golf Course Summer 2012 I worked as a golf cart valet. This included helping golfers get out on the course, picking the range, washing and stocking the carts, etc. I learned great customer service skills and more knowledge about the sport of golf.
