      To work in a healthy and safe manner in a fast paced environment. My duties included, training on International, QA, large packing and small packing. I was able to communicate between members of the team efficiently and work in a safe manner. The tasks were mainly to data input from the orders, locate orders and pack the item(s) correctly using the equipment provided. This was done in a timely manner to aim for our deadline targets.       Within this job I had the pleasure to run the opening and closing of the Cafe which included these duties: decorating and baking all freshly made desserts such as the coffee and walnut cake for the opening. Filling in due diligence such as temperature sheets, quality control and our daily clean down routine form which is organised by myself or the manager. I would also place orders for the stock takes for items of the menu, deal with enquirers for bookings or orders from the customer either via email/phone/face to face. This could of either been for the pizza parties, wedding orders, surprises for families. I would supervise staff during shifts and organise breaks. This could be anything from maintaining health and safety with new staff members during training, making sure they followed correct procedures for food safety and making sure we all followed excellent customer service. During the end of shift, it would be routine to designate all jobs fairly, so this would be from doing a close down front of house and in the kitchen. Stock checking all ingredients/dry goods. Towards the end, we would cash up and be prepared for the next shift running. I enjoyed this job because I could show a creative side of myself and got to explore training as a supervisor on the job but I would love to develop into managing a team and showing my skills.

      Through this job, I worked a zero hour contract. Working front of house and from transferring from The Gables (Marstons), this was a brilliant opportunity for myself to develop my skills in retail and being in a busier environment for a customer face to face role. It was demanding but I love being busy and always being positive during difficult situations which can appear in any workplace. I was able to multi task around different sections of training where needed such as bar work, cash handling, dessert making, taking customer orders and taking bookings over the phone.
