Over the past four years with this company, moving up from an hourly associate cashier to a salary Assistant Manager in less than 2 years. I have grown tremendously with Potbelly, sharpening my management and communication skills as well as becoming a meticulous administrator, with attention to detail. I manage a team of three shift leaders and eight associates on a daily basis. Daily tasks include counting inventory, writing the weekly schedule as well as placing maintenance orders, handling invoices and transfers. Not only have I gained knowledge in the administrative side of the business I have also become a strong leader in my shop, managing my team to their highest potential. I strongly believe in investing a lot of time in your team to allow them to be comfortable and feel respected in order to perform at a high level. I also naturally invest a lot of time in my work. As a manager, I hold a very important role in the shop, my team counts on me everyday to lead the shop to success. Therefore I am always committed to work until the job is done, not just until the time written on the schedule has been reached.

    • Education Intern
      • Jul 2015 - Sep 2015

I carried out daily tasks and assisted with lesson plans for one of the two Assistant Curators of education. This included lending a hand with any seminars or lectures that were carried out at the museum that this individual was involved in. I also assisted in data entry tasks pertaining to docent schedules, the directory, and aiding in transferring data from one database system to another. This internship has allowed me an insight into the daily routines and work loads of the entire education department, being allowed the chance to aid this program, I have gained knowledge in my perspective field.

    • Teen/Artist Project Intern
      • Sep 2014 - Jun 2015

I was one of two interns for a year long Teen program. My colleague and I helped assist the Assistant Administrator of Education in organizing the program and making sure each class went as planned each week. I also assisted the visiting artists who would come to teach the students, this included gathering or purchasing materials, and carrying out any tasks necessary to make for a flawless lesson plan. I received an insight in to the museum education process while also having the liberty to help teach the students if they needed guidance.
