Lead a team of 16 people to deliver ADAS features. Our team has to deliver/sign off these features to ensure they are meeting all of our Ford requirements and also homologation and public domain guideline requirements.I have to manage team resources, planning/estimating resource needs for future programs, this includes people, equipment/new technologies, testing track requirements and reviewing vehicle risk assessments (VRA’s).

    • Advanced Driver Assistance Systems CAE Engineer
      • 2018 - Oct 2021

Investigate and implement CAE and HiL opportunities available for ADAS to respond to Ford’s decision to reduce the number of prototype vehicles and create alternative testing and validation methods. A major part of my role is to coordinate a team and develop the virtualisation plans then implement across and with other Ford regions. I have led the team from having no virtual validation methods to 4 methods including Simulation involving creating ADAS Simulink & CarMaker models, HiL functional verification, Vehicle in the Loop (ViL) to simulate the external environment and static simulators to assess the performance of the features objectively and subjectively. • HiL/Integration Engineer
      • Feb 2011 - 2018

A modern vehicle now contains dozens of electronic modules and the complexity is increasing with each new program. To reduce the number of physical vehicles needed and make testing unproven technologies and methods thorough and cost effective, auto manufacturers use analytical methods such as HiL testing. In HiL testing, a simulated environment is presented to the various vehicle electronic modules to test their functional and safety systems proving the component’s readiness for vehicle testing. My contributions to this system was as lead Simulink modeller, lead test planner and test executor. I mentored and managed junior staff and also administer the HiL system applications such as dSpace, SVN and Jira. Show less

    • NVH-Sound Pack Engineer
      • Jan 2010 - Jan 2011

During the development of the Ford Ranger I was directly responsible to prevent high frequency noise from entering the vehicle, completing vehicle level tests to meet targets both on the constant speed track and semi-anechoic chamber. Where required I would develop solutions if the targets were not being met. I would liaise with design and release engineers to implement these solutions. I supported the product development launch of the vehicle in Thailand.

    • Systems Engineer
      • Jan 2009 - Jan 2010

As a Systems engineer I was responsible for the development of Ford Falcon and Territory CAN (Control area network) databases, coordinated with all vehicle electronic module owners to ensure all their requirements were being met. Ordered parts and created test plans for vehicle test benches and finally executed test plans for those modules.

    • Cardiac Technologist
      • Jan 2005 - Dec 2005

During a traineeship as part of my tertiary education I was hands on with patient care. Specifically, I would administer ECGs, exercise tests, review heart monitor recordings and general hospital administration duties.
