Bio
Laura Brereton
I have worked with Laurel for more than 10 years, both in the community arts and non-profit sectors. She is one of the most dedicated and hard working people I’ve ever worked with. She is highly organized, she is excellent with follow through, and she is able to solve problems well. Laurel cares deeply about her community. Whether it is planning arts festivals or helping to solve food insecurity or grass roots political organizing, Laurel has shown time and again her dedication to making her community more vibrant, welcoming, and safe.

When there is a community project I’m involved with or chairing a commission there is always a person who comes to mind to call on, Laurel Siegel. Laurel and I have worked together on committees for numerous projects in Medford starting with Arts Collaborative Medford a commitment she founded to fund Medford’s first Art Center, the Mayors Commission on Parking Policy and Enforcement and as a fellow board member at the Medford Chamber of Commerce, Laurels ability, whatever the task, is always about setting the bar high, educating and encouraging those around her to work together collaboratively to accomplish the goal. Experience, knowledge and commitment in community, a level of professionalism, attention to detail and volunteering her leadership skills to the Art Scene, organization such as Cache in Medford, Mural Project at Condon Shell have generated interest and enhanced the experience of all of us living in this community.
