I used Applied Behavior Analysis to increase desired behavior in children and adults on the Autism spectrum. In addition, I collaborated with other RBT’s, BCBA’s, supervisors, teachers, and parents to provide appropriate and effective practices. Being flexible is extremely important as an RBT. I remained open to schedule changes, learning a new client and their behavior plan/target goals. I brought creativity to each of my sessions - if I’m having fun, my client is having fun! As a lead on a case, I communicated with other team members on updates, modifications, or concerns. I also inputted data into a line graph using Microsoft Excel. This shows the progress or regression in a client over time and tells us if we need to change what we’re working on to better meet the child where they are at. Show less

I worked with two clients a day with two four hour sessions using Applied Behavioral Analysis. I ran Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT) to increase the skills of the client while creating an environment of learning and fun. I promoted peer interaction with social skill groups, parallel play, and social interactions during lunch and other planned events. I was supervised by a BCBA who gave me feedback on client’s programs and how I can better use behavior intervention strategies.
