I have two favorite memories of working with Laura. The first memory is about one of those so-common moments on a campaign when the office is still buzzing at 2am and two hard-working volunteers are sitting on the floor with a laptop writing a call-script for the next morning. After a day of door-knocking, phone calls, organizing and reorganizing, I was so impressed by Laura's good mood and unwavering enthusiasm. The second is from a more formal moment during the day with a team of volunteers being directed by Laura. Her calm confidence, her belief in the goal and the team, her constant reminders about how appreciated the volunteers were and how critical to our efforts, and her ability to take her knowledge and understanding of campaigns and explain both broadly and specifically to the volunteers what we were doing was outstanding. Laura Nevitt is a wonderful person to work with, volunteer with, and be supervised by.

Simply put, Laura's passion and concern for a campaign of ideas, and the people involved in that push, made me proud of the work that I was doing and excited to challenge myself for the sake an outcome hidden in hope and hard work. Her passion attracted me to the campaign, and her talents and vision inspired me to stretch myself.
