In the role of R&D Intern I headed the development of a system within the stair department to ensure safety of technicians on-site when fitting stairs into new housing developments. I used Solid works to design a bespoke bracket; liaised with external manufacturers to manufacture a prototype, tested it on the companies stress test rig at the facility in Sheffield and helped collect and analyse the data.
