To Whom It May Concern: I have worked with Laura McBride since August 2007 and during such time I’ve gotten to know her as a co-worker, a student, a subordinate and a friend. She is a joy to be around, engaging in conversations, professional, timely, highly responsible and a genuinely friendly and approachable person. In these two years as my assistant, she’s grown professionally in the areas of Interior Design at a remarkable pace. If I could keep her I would; if I were interviewing her, I would hire her. Working 40 hours a week she maintained an almost perfect GPA her last two years at Design Institute. This never interfered with her responsibilities at the office and she never complained about her work load. In the rare instance she would run late, she’d always call to let me know. If work was busy and our load was full, she would always stay late insuring the needs were met, sometimes even after I would leave. Bottom line, Laura loves to work and her ambition allows her to take on whatever tasks she’s given. Laura has kept me organized in an environment with tremendous complexities. She is highly efficient in her daily tasks and does not require any supervision or reminders to manage her responsibilities. She demonstrated a maturity well beyond her years and allowed me to place her in charge of a tremendous amount of information which required a strong level of project management. I never had to worry about projects she managed and during stressful times she provided me the ability to maintain composure without fret. Laura’s character is in everyway trustworthy and genuine. Our clients require a high level of confidentiality, more so than usual, and she always conducted herself with a humble position. Vendors and contractors always enjoyed working with her as she possesses a respectful, friendly, personable and helpful attitude. She always made sure I was covered, often taking the initiative to start or finish a task she knew I needed completed. Her hard work was noticed by all levels of our company and soon everyone came to her for help because they knew she would always get their requests accomplished, no matter what. All these qualities, combined with her creative gifts and mature professionalism made Laura a valuable assistant and I will miss her positive nature in our office. It has been my pleasure to have met her and I have confidence she will be a valuable asset to any design related position you have in store for her. Sincerely, Shannon P. Miller, NCIDQ Cert. #25230
