Laura was a great help to the Talent Acquisition team during her summer internship at Odyssey. Laura created a wonderful company profile page on StackOverflow with limited direction, showing her to be mature beyond her years. I see an amazing professional future ahead for Laura and wish her the best of luck!

I had the pleasure of working with Laura Allaben this summer as my intern for the entire product team at Odyssey. Laura answered directly to me and assisted me with all of my project and product management tasks. Laura was in our office from June 2016 - August 2016. Laura was such a joy to have around the office. She took any task I gave her and made the best out of it. I was amazed by how well a Senior in High School could comprehend and adapt to the hectic culture of a tech start-up. Laura rebuilt our entire StackOverflow page for the company almost single handedly, helped make the communication between the product team and other internal teams smoother, and assisted me with developing a brand new organizational structure for a team of 18 people. I would recommend Laura for any position that she sees fit because I know how well she can adapt to a new situation and how strong her work ethic is. Having Laura work in house this summer did not feel like we had a 17 year old working with us, it felt like we had a college graduate who was working with us full time. We will definitely miss her and all of the amazing components she contributed to our team.

After two years of serving as a Student Ambassador I was promoted to the role of True Blue Visit Coordinator. As visit coordinator I hire and manage first-year Butler students to host prospective students for a shadow experience at Butler. I work to pair hosts and prospective students based on year, major, and other interests to ensure the most enjoyable experience for Butler University visitors. These visits offer an opportunity for prospective students to shadow current Butler University students throughout their day. I work directly with an Office of Admission staff member to complete assigned tasks and special projects pertaining to our True Blue Visits. I also analyze data from visit evaluation forms to improve this visit program. Part of my position also includes helping to supervise and assign tasks to fellow student employees. Show less
