    • CSW/Booking Co-ordinator at Remark!
      • Oct 2010 - Jan 2011

Remark contacted me in September to request that I join and work with them closely to help launch a newly formed Midlands office. Due to the newness of the office my role was multifaceted and I was called upon to complete a great number of tasks, which was seen as a reflection of my commitment and flexibility. A brief summary of my tasks: CSW/Administration Whilst at Remark I have undertaken a number of CSW roles, the most important of which is providing support for the Regional Co-ordinator, and working as an administrator and booking agent alongside this. My responsibilities included: I was the first point of contact on the phone and acted as an on the phone interpreter. Worked with clients to understand their interpreting needs. Created a database of local interpreters and introduced them to Remark. Created and maintained a number of other databases Worked with freelance interpreters to best fulfil Remarks and the clients needs. Maintained and managed spreadsheets/lists containing all bookings. Provide full Email and communications to clients/Management Sending confirmation forms to clients and to interpreters Managed the calendars. Communication constantly with team members. Being proactive with my responsibilities so that I was always finished ahead of schedule CSW support for the Regional Co-ordinator in meetings and in communicating with members of the building Occasionally I would have to cover for the Regional Co-ordinator as she was either out of office or on leave and completing these roles efficiently and responsibly Booking Coordinator Taking bookings Organising interpreters/CSW (often at the very last minute) Making and sending booking confirmations Helping prospects with ATW forms Arranging meetings for the Regional Coordinator Training courses - Delivered and project managed a small marketing campaign liaising with the internal design team to generate interest in training courses. • CSW / Interpreter
      • Jun 2010 - Jul 2010

I have joined Remark to give myself a good basis in BSL and working in multiple environments, Thus far I have covered a number of situations for sign language that I have been commended for my excellent work and rapport with clients. I have worked in the following environments: Signing in a business meeting: – Representing a client who is working on behalf of other deaf clients. Speaking and interpreting to Government members and working as a liaison during the meeting. – Discussing complex regulatory changes within government and the hearing impaired community. – Annotating meeting notes and communicating the discussion points in sign language. Signing for a interview – Communicating effectively in a high pressure environment – Explaining interview questions in an easily digestible fashion then relaying the replies effectively (applicant got the job!) Signing in a work environment – Working as a CSW and performing a number of office based roles, Emailing, creating reports, working within back office systems and administering systems. Show less
