Senior Event Coordinator on Moomba Festival, specifically Moomba Parade Producer. I oversee the development and production of all creative elements in the parade including floats, puppets, music and costume. I develop the flow and feel of the parade, strategic direction and growth. I am passionate about the Moomba Parade - it is fully curated from start to finish, fully costumed, fully rehearsed and an absolute celebration of community and everything weird and wacky that encompasses Melbourne. It is an honour to hold this role.From April 2021 I have also undertaken the role of Producer for The Playground held in Docklands each April School Holidays. The Playground is a fully immersive play space for children encompassing craft, workshops, storytelling, play spaces and activations. Encouraging visitation and economic spend in Docklands - this event delivers wholeheartedly on both fronts.

Stage Challenge® is the sister company of Australia’s Rock Eisteddfod Challenge®. This position was the most senior based in New Zealand. As well as overseeing the entire 13 venue, 12 week tour duties also included: • Risk Management Plan and Health & Safety Guidelines• Draft the overall tour schedule [3 years out] and work with 13 venues to ensure availability of dates and logical progression of tour. • Set the 2007-2008 budgets & provide a weekly update report• Primary contact for government & corporate sponsors. In 2008 $220,000 new sponsorship secured, including a government naming rights sponsor at $200,000 a year for three years. • Work to ensure sponsorship benefits are maximised for both parties & responsible for delivery of all contracted benefits• Source funding from available grant schemes – in 2008 $133,000 worth of grants secured. This was an additional $90,000 to previous years.• All pre-production liaison with venues • Oversee the coordination of technical requirements for each event• Finalise ticketing requirements for each individual event day – including TV,VIP and Media holds, inside ticket charges, plus development of schools ticketing allocation nationwide. • Work with Whitebait TV, NZ on Air and TV3 to secure necessary funding and broadcast of a Stage Challenge® TV Special. • Work with APRA on contractual agreement for music clearance for all schools • Event Manage each live event day (up to 25 events a year nationwide) including overall schedule, briefings, ticketing, merchandise sales, and troubleshooting issues as they arose to ensure a smooth running event day for the 14,500 participants nationwide. Publicity & Promotion:• To liaise with sponsoring radio, press and television media & act as spokesperson.• Develop marketing strategies to increase school entries – in 2007 school entries at155 schools, in 2008 this peaked at 201 participating schools.

In 2005 & 2006 I was contracted on 6 month contracts by the Stage Challenge® Foundation to be their Production, Tour and Event ManagerMain Duties Included: • Venue & technical liaison for the 13 venues and offsite dressing rooms. • Manage travel, accommodation and logistics for touring crew. • Oversee the sourcing of volunteers and activity providers in each centre. • Tour to each location as the event manager on the day for all participants and teachers, and be on hand to deal with any situation to ensure a smooth running event for 180 schools and over 14,500 participants nationwide. • Be strategically involved in the setting of the 2006 operations and tour budget, including overall reporting and accountability.
