  Thanks to a financial cooperation agreement signed between the Italian federation of cooperative credit banks and Ecuador’s largest NGO, I did a two-month internship in the field of microfinance. In the first month I worked as a bank customer service assistant in “Nueva Esperanza ltda”, a saving and credit cooperative located in San Andrés, a small Andean village 3000 metres above sea level, in the Chimborazo province. In the second month I took part into Italy’s largest private diplomacy project named “X Missione Italia- Ecuador 2014: Progetto Microfinanza Campesina”, by helping the communication between the delegations with a simultaneous translation from Italian to Spanish and vice versa.
